HÅG x Recouture

HÅG and Recouture brought Norwegian craftsmanship and circular design to NeoCon 2026 through a collection of one-of-a-kind HÅG Capisco chairs.

Created in collaboration with Recouture, a fashion design studio based outside Oslo, the collection showcased restored vintage Norwegian åkle textiles (pronounced OH-kleh) reimagined for contemporary workplace settings. Rich in colour, texture and Scandinavian history, each chair featured a unique vintage åkle thoughtfully paired with complementary fabrics and custom metal finishes, resulting in a series of truly distinctive pieces.

The collaboration highlighted the potential of circular design, giving new life to heritage textiles while celebrating the craftsmanship and stories woven into every piece.

Norway to NeoCon

NeoCon attendees experienced the HÅG x Recouture collection firsthand and had the opportunity to meet Recouture founder Hilde Hoff Nordskar in the HÅG showroom.

Throughout the event, Nordskar shared the story behind her restoration process, design philosophy and approach to preserving traditional Norwegian textiles through contemporary design. The collaboration generated strong interest and meaningful conversations around sustainability, craftsmanship and material reuse in the workplace.

    The HÅG x Recouture collection remains available as a custom-made interpretation of the iconic HÅG Capisco chair.

    Each piece is individually crafted by Recouture founder Hilde Hoff Nordskar in collaboration with the team at the Flokk factory in Røros, Norway, using carefully restored vintage Norwegian åkle textiles. No two chairs are alike, making each one a unique expression of Norwegian heritage and craftsmanship.
